bedroom furniture to maximise storage in a small room

this small terraced town house offered a real challenge in maximising the storage- the space beneath this wardrobe is a shoe store while above there is room for bedding

due to the tight space between the bed and this wall, i made both doors on this unit left-hand hinged to allow easy access while still giving full use of all the space in the alcove. i also added a mini-bedside “perch” to give somewhere to put a morning cuppa and store a few books without hindering access to the cupboards.

a simple “dresser” in the other corner gives space for a tv and books above, with a storage cupboard below.
