english oak garden bench 18 years on…..Project by Tim GermainI just recently stumbled across a past customer who I made this garden bench for 18 years ago. It has sat outside all that time and, while the colour of the oak may have mellowed, the bench is good as new (in part because it has metal feet that allow the oak to air dry quickly, meaning it will live A LOT longer than all the benches the councils put in our parks!). It is a gardener’s bench and so the seat lifts up to provide storage for wellies as well as sliding trays for secateurs, twine, etc.the family coat of arms was hand-carved by the excellent Wendy
