this cabin bed needed to sit over the door to free up floor space. it incorporates a large wardobe and large cupboard underneath as well as plenty of shelvingan existing ikea unit was reinforced and re-purposed as the bottom stepsladder and handholdsthis bookcase was left open to allow light through into the area underneath the bed. i also added a bedside shelf spanning the gap to a structural beam to hold books, lamp, clock, etc.
